This King Of The Ring (KOTR) Champion and EURO Savate Champion Cheick Kongo is a formidable MMA competitor, with decisive UFC victories over Dan Evensen, Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic, Assuerio Silva, Gilbert Aldana, and a host of others in the RINGS and “It’s Showtime” franchises, including Dave Vader and Dave van der Veen. Kongo, whose real name is started his martial arts training early, studying karate and kendo with his brother, later branching out into Muay Thai and kickboxing. Kongo’s Myspace Page (http://www.myspace.com/cheickkongo) compares the heavyweight fighter to the Eiffel Tower: “tall, well built, and from Paris.” Kongo began his MMA career by knocking out Andre Tete, and things started to happen from then on.
