| Desription ......... Before joining WEC, Yoshiro Maeda set the Pancrase and DEEP franchises on fire, with his knack for delivering KOs and TKOs. Though a June 2008 defeat at WEC (World Extreme Cagefighting) by Miguel Torres for the Bantamweight title is a setback (Maeda went three rounds with him, only to lose by physician intervention after his eye got swollen shut) Maeda’s still got plenty of fight left in him. Notable victories include those over Baret Yoshida, Daiki Hata, Danny Batten, Johnny Frachey, and Charlie Valencia. Maeda is associated with Pancrase Inagakigumi, along with MMA competitors Naoji Fujimoto, Daichi Fujiwara, Takashi Hasegawa, Koji Tomita, and others. MMA Worldwide ranks Maeda as their # 10 featherweight (2008). |
